    Job Title - Assembler

    We have several immediate openings for MECHANICAL ASSEMBLERS. The company is located in Brampton on (Queen/Goreway) and is a leading manufacturer of tools, mechanical pipes, valves, mechanical pipe joining parts, and fire protection equipment. The positions are for long term and immediate start.

    ** must be available to work for the given shift timings

    Advantages
    * full time hours
    * day shifts of 6 am to 2:30 pm

    * dynamic team and friendly supervisors, ventilated environment
    * hourly pay of $19 to $20.50 per hour (**based on experience only)
    * Full peer to peer training provided

    Responsibilities
    •Ensure selection of proper components to assemble and work accurately
    •Complete assembly of components to customer specifications and ensure that all steps are followd from the blueprints
    •Perform testing of assembled valves and keeping proper records
    •Package assembled valves for shipping
    •Material handling of components as needed, ensuring proper packaging to avoid any product damage
    •Follow standard work practice-method sheet and instructions
    •Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping at your workstations
    •Report to the supervisor any damages or malfunction of the equipment and tools
    •Ensure use of appropriate safety equipment
    •Adhere to company policies and safety rules
    •Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor


    Qualifications
    •1 to 2 years’ experience within a mechanical assembly environment
    •operating an overhead light hoist Crane training an asset
    •Knowledge of using various hand tools such as wrench, power drills, screw drivers, spanner. torque wrench, impact gun etc
    •Ability to read the drawings and follow the steps to assemble and test products
    •Ability to use the measuring equipments including vernier caliper
    •Ability to lift up to 30-35lb
    •Ability to be punctual and present for the shift in the schedule at all times
    •Good verbal and written communication skills
    •Assembly experience of pipe fitting an asset
