Mechanical Assembly and Test Technician Support – Ottawa West

Are you looking for a unique opportunity that will allow you to be involved in every aspect of the manufacturing process? Do you enjoy building strong customer relationships? Do strong debug and troubleshooting skills with electronics?

Advantages:

• Salary: $50,000 to $70,000 based on experience
• Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm (flexible)

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembly and Test Technician Support:

• Support the test and mechanical assembly department to improve, monitor and ensure quality of products
• Assist technicians with debug, transitioning and calibrating equipment
• Strong customer service skills to communicate directly with customer about the testing process
• Complete testing and mechanical assembly documentation and reports
• Be active on the production floor in order to coordinate with the mechanical assembly and testing teams as well as with the Production Manager to ensure delivery is on schedule
• Communicate progress and delays to customers
• To support the mechanical and testing department to ensure the continuous flow of product, improve and ensure product quality, monitor and improve processes


Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience with testing, debug and troubleshooting circuit board, other electronic products and testing strategies
• Electronics technician or technologist diploma from college required
• At least 3 years’ experience in electronics contract manufacturing or OEM industry
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies
• Exceptional organizational skills and critical thinking
