Are you a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with an understanding of how improvements affect company production?
Do you work well in a team based environment?

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for working with customers and other Company Engineers to design and document fuel
trains, Burner Management Systems, and TSSA submittals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Design mechanical piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs)
• Fuel Train Design
• TSSA documentation submittals
• Design of Process Descriptions and Control Narratives for Burner Management Systems (BMS) and Combustion Control Systems (CCS)
• Prepare design calculations and specifications for major equipment, including boilers and auxiliary equipment
• Coordinate with drafters and review design deliverables to ensure compliance with specification requirement and industry standards
• Communicate with other Engineers and Project Managers as appropriate to ensure completion of projects on time and within budget

Other Duties
• Perform other duties supportive of main objectives, as assigned
• Unique Product Training & Support

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment sizing, i.e. pumps, pipes, and similar equipment
• Knowledge of CSA, TSSA, NFPA codes - Fuel safety
• Knowledge of B31.1, B31.3, B51, AMSE codes – BPV
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management skills
• Strong customer orientation
• Hard working with high personal standards
• Team player

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• University Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in design and implementation of combustion related projects, including fuel train and burner management
• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of mechanical processes and systems
• Exposure to the process industry including Power, Cogeneration (Power and Steam production)
• Knowledge of the integration of mechanical, electrical and control components
