One of Southwestern Ontario's most successful consulting firms has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in Kitchener.

In this position, you'll hold a variety of responsibilities, including the following:

• Manage and lead mechanical design projects, direct and mentor the design team
• All aspects of design and analyses including system selection, life cycle cost calculations, and implementation of building systems
• Produce mechanical tender documents including specifications and drawings using AutoCAD
• Design heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing systems for different types of residential and commercial buildings
• Work on various small, medium, and large projects including fit ups and new construction
• Produce technical construction documents including concept designs, reports, project cost estimates, change orders, field investigation reports and instructions
• Attend meetings with clients, project managers, other consultants, suppliers and contractors for ongoing project communication and to ensure design integrity
• Develop working relations with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers

Required Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer status with PEO (or eligible to transfer from another province)
• Experience working on Canadian projects that utilized the Ontario Building Code
• Minimum 4 years of experience specific to the design of HVAC systems for residential, commercial, and/or institutional buildings
• Experience working with AutoCAD (Revit would be an asset)
