The Opportunity
The company is developing a strong line of new products for the market which requires substantial design input. To do this we are expanding our design and development team, which requires an HVAC Designer. The position will allow the candidate to be an integral part of the core development team. All design, research and development are done in-house. Being part of the design team will allow you this unique opportunity to work on and take ownership of many aspects of the development of the machines.

Responsibilities
Position Description
•Develop new product designs based on inhouse testing and development
•System performance calculations
•Setting up various scenarios and layouts by creating machine models and components.
•Generate applicable calculations, drawings and bills of materials for equipment.
•Sourcing, and reviewing components for applicable assemblies.
•Work with operations personnel to gain feed back for product development and refinement.
•Analyze for compliance with applicable standards.
•Preparation of technical documents.
•Preparing procedures, performing and evaluating tests of components and final assemblies.
•Prepare test reports and recommendations.
•Work with sub-vendors to finalize components.
•Evaluate the design in the final product format and functionality.
•Support production and sales.
Qualifications
Experience
5+ years experience with mechanical product design and development
5+ years experience with HVAC equipment
5+ years experience with testing and field troubleshooting
Previous work on SolidWorks 3D software is beneficial
Education
Engineering Degree or Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma
