Responsibilities
- Analysis of medical evidence, facts supporting the insured person's claim, contractual provisions, government programs, legislation and case law
- Communicates with all stakeholders to gather information relevant to decision making
- Inform all parties of decisions and courses of action regarding claims
- Proactively manage the claim to avoid entrenchment in disability
- Maintain service time within established standards
- Adhere to the priorities identified by the department
- Work in partnership with his/her team and support his/her partners during absences and vacations
Qualifications
- Experience in a related field
- Legal and/or medical knowledge
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills
- Functional English
- Excellence in customer service
- Knowledge of Word and Excel
