Are you an administrative professional with experience in the healthcare industry? Have you worked at a medical office, dental office or at a chiropractic practice? Do you enjoy providing excellent customer service? Perhaps you have some education in this field. Please apply today, as we are looking for medical office assistants to provide support to our healthcare sector.

Duties:

- Answering telephones, greeting patients, and updating patient medical records
- Taking patient’s heights and weights, preparing patients for examination and assisting physicians during examinations as needed
- Filling out insurance forms, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, filing documents and arranging for laboratory services
- Clinical duties such as performing EKG, spirometry, and simple in office lab like pregnancy test or dip stick test.
- Preparing examination rooms and sterilizing equipment
- Maintaining strict confidentiality according to the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA)
- Working with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and service
- Other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of administrative experience in a medical office, dental office or chiropractic practice
- Completion of a high school or equivalent program of studies
- Experience working in an electronic medical record would be an asset
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications, particularly MS-Office and Windows. Accuro EMR would be an asset
- Experience maintaining records and registering patients
- Must have good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task effectively
- Must be able to function effectively in a fast-moving environment
