Millwright - Brockville

Do you enjoy troubleshooting and machining? Do you have experience fabricating parts to fix manufacturing equipment? Are you looking for a Millwright position that will allow you to use your other skills such as machining and welding? If you or someone you know is ready for a new opportunity, keep reading!

Advantages
• Salary: $28-$39/hour based on experience
• Shift: Rotating shifts, but you can also choose a specific shift if you don't want to rotate

• 2 weeks’ vacation

• Full-time permanent position

Responsibilities of the Millwright:
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair and monitor abnormal breakdowns of manufacturing and machine shop equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
• Machine replacement parts and fabricate tools, jigs, and fixtures if required
• Implementing initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and quality improvement plans
• Rebuild production equipment as production permits
• Conduct preventative maintenance as scheduled

Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years industrial practice conducting mechanical repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
• Completed trade school training, mechanical technician or technologist diploma is an asset
• Completed an accredited Industrial Mechanic or Machinist apprenticeship
• Strong machining experience with lathe, mill, grinder, shaper, band saw and drill press
• Working knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, stainless steel and aluminum welding, basic sheet metal work, pipefitting and plumbing
• Able to lift heavy material and work in confined spaces
