Do you have at least 2 years of experience trouble shooting and repairing of electrical and mechanical industrial machinery? Do you have an aptitude at diagnosing, maintaining, installing and modifying manufacturing equipment? Do you like working as part of a team to minimize production down time and improve efficiencies?

Working as a Millwright at this upgraded facility located approximately 40 minutes South-East of Ottawa, you will be contributing to a seasoned and loyal team of Industrial Mechanics in a dynamic and unionized environment.

Advantages:
• Salary: $27.84 (+$0.80 night shift premium) incremental increases the first 12 months leading up to $30.33 (+$0.80 night shift premium)
• Opportunity for overtime at 1.5 times/hour
• Shift: must be flexible to work 12 hour days (8am to 8pm) and 12 hour nights (8pm to 8am), possibility of rotational schedule
• Unionized position
• Benefits
• 2 weeks’ vacation with incremental increases

Responsibilities of the Millwright:
• Perform regular preventative maintenance
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical industrial machinery
• Modify and install production equipment
• Document tasks on work orders and additional documentation as required


Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Millwright
• Ability to conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong welding skills - MIG or Stick welding (SMAW or GMAW) all positions on mild steel
• Ability to lift 50lbs and work at heights
• Bilingual in English and French (asset)
• Experience programming Allen Bradley PLC’s (asset)
