Join our Operations Support Group (Network Operations), a dedicated 24/7 Service Availability team responsible for providing critical, frontline support for a mission-critical enterprise network environment. The primary focus is proactive and reactive management of network anomalies detected through a variety of monitoring tools. We are looking for self-motivated, focused individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess exceptional attention to detail. This is a long-term, backfill position within a large financial institution, offering the opportunity for extension and potential conversion to a permanent role.
Location & Schedule Location: Scarborough, ON 100% Onsite Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shift schedule (7 days a week/24 hours a day).
Candidates must be available to work both day shifts (e.g., 7 AM – 7 PM ET) and night shifts (e.g., 7 PM – 7 AM ET) as part of the rotation.

Shift Management & Leadership: Manage the day-to-day deliverables and workflow during the shift, ensuring all work is efficiently managed and promptly escalated to management as needed.
Technical Guidance: Provide strong technical leadership, ensuring the team adheres to NOC processes, proper remediation procedures, and high-quality ticket documentation.
Incident Response: Serve as a key contributor during P2/Major incidents, providing hands-on support, managing the incident queue, and prioritizing triage based on critical devices and services.
Process Improvement: Identify, explore, and report on new automation opportunities to reduce repeated tasks and enhance existing tools. Create and peer-review Methods of Procedure (MoPs) and "how-to" documentation.
Stakeholder Communication: Engage with wider operational teams and third-party vendors. Prepare clear, business-friendly update notifications for senior management regarding significant issues.

This role includes critical incident management, support for Business Recovery Planning (BRP) capabilities, and technical leadership for the shift.
Queue Management: Collaborate with management to manage the incident and work intake queues, ensuring a smooth, well-documented handover of all work to the next shift.
Performance: Jointly prepare and manage team productivity metrics with managers, providing meaningful input and feedback on team member performance.

Desired Skills & Experience (Nice to Have)
CCIE certification (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert).
Experience with advanced network monitoring tools such as SevOne, NetBrain, Infoblox, ExtraHop, or ThousandEyes.
