Our client in the Orangeville area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for an Operations Manager to join their team! As Operations Manager, you will participate in all activities related to production operations.

Specific responsibilities would include:
•Ensure product compliance in accordance with customer requirements.
•Support operational teams (planning, maintenance, purchasing, quality and logistics).
•Coordinate and set up continuous improvement system.
•Work in collaboration with the Purchasing Manager to coordinate production needs.
•Create, develop and maintain an environment where employees are engaged.
•Act as a disciplined entrepreneur according to the financial consequences (manufacturing costs).
•Develop and improve the skills and knowledge of all staff: document training and development activities according to the different positions.
•Communicate to employee’s improvements in business processes, policies, procedures or methods.
•Ensure compliance and maintain follow-up of documents related to production.
•Participate in monitoring new projects in collaboration with the technical operations and capital planning team.
•Apply company guidelines, aiming to ensure a healthy and safe working environment.


As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
•5+ years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment
•Bachelor of Engineering or Operations Management.
•Previous experience working within the packaging industry would be considered an asset
•Excellent leadership skills; conflict management; decision-making; critical thinking; problem-solving; and change management.
•Experience in a culture of continuous improvement, health and safety and quality.
•Autonomous, dependable, planning, organizational skills, delegation and teamwork.
•Understanding of general finance and budgeting.
•Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
•Ability to learn new software quickly and willingness to continuously develop technology skills.
•Experience working with an integrated management system (ERP).
•Excellent communication skills in the English language both verbal and written.
