This position will primarily focus on managing strategic initiatives for the Company, leading managers, and coordinators of the primary divisions towards the Company’s goals. The Operations Manager is responsible for developing an overall culture of Continuous Improvement with a results-driven approach towards quality and efficiency, responsible for both Unionized and Exempt staff teams.

Responsibilities
-Analyzing and identifying key areas for growth opportunities
-Developing and communicating on key policies and procedures
-Define and manage clear Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to report on Operational Performance at an executive level.
-Collaborate with Sales teams to understand target market requirements, ensuring Operations are prepared and aligned to perform/adapt appropriately.
-Direct and develop the Production Manager and manufacturing teams to develop a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement culture in the shop.
-Direct and develop the Supply Chain Manager and associated teams to develop a focus on accurate quoting, purchasing and inventory transactions for both raw and finished goods.
-Develop and oversee Occupation Health & Safety Coordinator role to improve safety program, including training, on-boarding and communications towards the Company’s goals of Health, Safety and Well-Being.
-Develop and oversee ‘Quality Control’ coordinator role, to drive improvement on overall quality with strong procedures, documentation, and training.
-Develop and oversee ‘Master Scheduling’ coordinator role, including Sales Order allocation and inventory processing to improve schedule reliability for all Sales Divisions.
-Ensure clear staff communications throughout Operations to improve alignment and clarity for teams, with established methods of two-way flow of information between Management and Employees.
-Manage relationship with IBEW Union including CBA details, meetings, and staff issues/grievances.
Qualifications
-5 to 10 years experience in a similar role.
-Experience in the cabinet manufacturing industry highly desired
-Excellent leadership ability and team building skills.
-Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers, etc.
-Experience in business process improvement.
-Ability to work in fast-paced environments and create a culture of collaboration.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
