Do you have knowledge of fixed income settlements? Do you have previous operational support experience? Are you looking to gain further experience within a large bank? We have the perfect role for you!

Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for an Operations Officer in Toronto for a 6 month contract. This role has potential to extend as well as convert to a permanent opportunity!

Pay Rate: $22.39/hour
Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm

As an Operations Officer your duties will include but not be limited to:
• Manage and resolve Fixed Income settlement exceptions
• Investigate and resolve cash breaks and depository breaks
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within areas of responsibility
• Coordinate documentation of processes and ensure knowledge continuity with teammates
• Identify risk in cash wire payments and escalate appropriately
• Respond to emails in all team mailboxes
• Cross train on all settlement desks to add depth for team coverage during staff vacations and absences
• Ad hoc requests (audit confirmations, answering queries)
• Attend team meetings
• Identify and contribute to project work
• Reconciliation of internal accounts and depository balances
