Responsibilities
As an Operations Officer, your duties will include but not be limited to:
●Processing transactions accurately and on time
●Escalating processing issues where necessary to ensure a high level of service is maintained
●Serving clients as required – adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and internal service delivery standards
●Following firm and industry regulations and operating practices in completing and recording transactions for either the firm or clients
●Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and support process improvement initiatives
●Prioritizing and managing own workload to meet SLA (deadline) requirements for service and productivity
●Escalating non-standard or high-risk transactions or other activities as appropriate
●Ensuring documentation prepared/completed is accurate and properly reflects client/business intentions and is consistent with relevant rules/regulations
●Completing investigations – report/escalate risk issues identified or process gaps
●Accessing systems, know and apply system capabilities, ensure upload/download of information is completed timely and accurately
●Assisting in analysis, development, testing, and implementation of operating and process improvements
●Staying updated with all regulations, practices, related laws, reporting requirements and industry trends
●Performing other duties as required
Qualifications
●Post-Secondary education required/University degree is a must
●2 years previous banking experience in a similar role.
●Demonstrate acquired knowledge of required systems in completing deliverables; this may include Excel, MS Word, Power point
●Strong Excel skills including formulas (e.g. pivot tables, Vlook up)
●Working knowledge of wealth management industry, including product knowledge of account types and their functionality
●Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills
●Ability to work independently and manage multi tasks at once
●Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information
●Commitment to client service excellence
●Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with the team and partners.
●Must be flexible with working hours as circumstances may require availability to work beyond "regular operating hours"
