Field Material Specialist - Fox Creek AB - Contract 12 months +
We are seeking local applicants for this Monday - Friday role to lead field materials management in CMMS

- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management.
- Journeyman Parts Technician certification would be an asset.

- Must have solid working knowledge of Oil & Gas parts/materials.
- Decision making skills for making timely and informed decisions on selecting products
- Interpersonal skills, self confidence and negotiating skills for establishing working relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Summary: responsibilities include but not limited to;
Leads field materials management in CMMS, initiatives and upgrades
Mentors and assists in training of system users for materials requisitions, leads/participates in efforts on continuous improvement and cost reduction of material purchase.
Initiate ACD (Add Change Delete) for materials when required.
Scope/Plan work order maintenance activities in CMMS system to allow for efficient scheduling as per FIRM (Facility Integrity Reliability Maintenance) guidance
Monitor/Manage work order status and ensure work orders are being set to ready to schedule after scoping and materials arrivals complete as per FIRM guidance
Notify groups (FE, Asset Integrity- Tank Team, Hydro, HES) of process to generate Work Orders if required.
Work closely with Field coordinators, specialist, and technicians to procure production materials and supplies for scheduled Work with PM writer to update PM and PdM plans.
Validate/supply BOM for equipment.
General materials management
Parts kitting for work orders, preparation for scheduled work
Spare parts review and recommendations
Single liaison between company Buyer and Purchasing agent (MRC)
Ensures adherence to and compliance with Work Order Management process (FIRM11000)
Verify materials are in stock and change work order status to ready to schedule.
Travel to sites as needed to validate equipment, and materials when required.
Ensure compliance to FIRM standards and monitor KPIs for continuous improvement opportunities
