Order Desk Representative in Burlington

Are you knowledgeable in automation and electrical parts? Do you enjoy providing technical support for clients? Then we have a great opportunity for you!

We are currently recruiting for an Order Desk Representative who would be able to assist clients with product knowledge and technical questions, enter orders, and ensure orders are received in a timely manner. A normal day in this position would include providing customer service over phone and email, recommending parts, and placing orders in the internal system. You would be working for a well-known Manufacturing company within the Automation and Electrical Industry.

Job Duties

- Accepting, entering, and processing orders through an internal system
- Assisting client with inquiries related to products
- Answering technical questions over phone and email
- Sending POs to vendors
- Assisting with digital marketing – creating social media accounts to advertise productions and promotions (ex. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin)
- Assisting with other duties as needed within the office when needed, ex. covering shipping, receiving, inventory counts, and other administrative duties

- Permanent, full-time position
- Monday-Friday
- Day 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
- $20-$30 an hour depending on experience
- Friendly, team working environment
- Varied job tasks and responsibilities
- Business casual dress code

- 5+ years of experience working within a similar Order Desk, Inside Sales, or Customer Service position
- Experience within the automation industry or electrical industry is an asset
- Education within a technical field is an asset – ex. engineering, electrical, mechanical, industrial, automation field
- Knowledge of relays, timers, pushbuttons, limit switches is an asset
