Responsibilities
• Interact with current customers and potential new customers, assessing their needs as required via face-to-face meetings, telephone and/or virtual meetings.
• Plan & schedule regular customer interactions, including overnight travel if required in the territory
• Regularly analyze sales, ensuring new opportunities for customers are recognized and presented
• Develop and implement customer sales strategies including product groups, competitive information, target customers, and product package,
• Set goals and monitor plan regularly and adjust accordingly, in conjunction with your Regional Manager.
• Inform customers of changes to policy, pricing and products, promotions, and new products
• Prospect new customers, identify new product opportunities, and expand product applications with existing customers for increased business
• Utilize in-house training materials (i.e. website, catalogues, brochures) for self-knowledge.
• Complete administrative duties, including expense reports, mileage reports, CRM and forecast reports and submit as required to your Manager for reimbursement of any business-related expenses.
• Participate in product seminars, sales, and marketing meetings as required to review planned vs actual results, discuss modifications, and ensure product information is available.
• Gather, analyze, and forward market/industry/customer/competitor/product trends, patterns and needs to management
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Post Secondary Education and/or experience with a background in marketing, business, or
communications with less than or equal to 2 years of sales experience in a related field
• Experience in industrial fittings, hose and other quality products to distributors and OEMs
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Effective communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Product Knowledge an asset
• Must be detail-oriented and organized
• Analytical skills
• Willing to work independently, a self-starter
• Computer literate in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel and Word)
• Sales oriented and team focused
