Responsibilities
- Conducting full lifecycle analysis that includes requirements gathering and documenting details (data requirements, user stories) from stakeholders, design and data quality check activities.
- Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems
- Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques to identify trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Developing ongoing reporting capabilities, monitor performance and identify improvements
- Enable data-driven insights to be translated into decisions and actions by telling a convincing story.
- Developing and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Filtering data by reviewing various reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
- 5+ years of proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
- Technical expertise on data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge of, and experience with reporting packages (business data objects, databases (GCP, SQL, etc.), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SAS, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings using BI tools such as Tableau or Looker
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Must be able to work effectively both on teams as well as be self-motivated, task oriented and organized.
- Strong customer focus and obsession with quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment
Nice to Haves:
Retail is preferred but open to any industry
Mathematics/ Statistics related degree is a huge plus
OMNI fulfilment retail background
