Responsibilities
Work with the Finance COE Tableau and Looker BA or Developer to design new reporting or analytic use cases
Using Jira manage data engineering development activities for assigned reporting or analytics use cases
Lead the assigned use case table development, create Jira stories, facilitate meetings with developer, and tester
Document required data engineering and CICD functional requirements and transformations for Client's Canada Finance (Operational Finance and Merchandise) related use cases
Conduct data profiling and document functional specifications during use case data warehouse and CICD development
Conduct data sourcing activities to collect data sets from various source systems that will then be staged in our Client's Google Data Lake
Facilitate workshops with various teams within the Client to identify source system information and data tables for use in data engineering
Work with Data Engineers to build out new airflow data pipelines within Google cloud services
Perform data validation/quality assurance testing during data warehouse and CICD development
Develop and maintain specific data development related documentation within Confluence
Perform problem investigation with the Data Engineers for reporting incidents
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma or equivalent experience in Data Analysis, Data Quality, Master Data Development or technology related field
7 + year’s experience working in a technical related role such as data analyst, data science, data quality, master data management
Data Analytics related experience in platforms such as Oracle Essbase, SAP, OneStream
Experience working Google GCP and Big Query
Experience working in a retail enterprise with Corporate financial data sets
Experience working in a retail enterprise with Retail sales, data sets
Experience with retail hierarchies and dimensions
Experience working with BI and reporting teams to determine and fulfil data functional requirements
Experience working and documenting data mapping and data warehouse table information
Experience working in cloud data projects
Experience working within a large company sourcing data sets for data warehouse activities
Experience working with Jira and Confluence within a Agile Scrum workflow
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and to proactively service multiple internal clients in a fast-paced environment
Ability to review, access, and provide detailed information daily as an independent thinker
Ability to organize and lead meetings with business and operational teams
Coordinate and communicate between business users, data engineering teams and Tableau BI development teams
Ability to troubleshoot and assist data engineers in resolution of data related issues
Ability to construct, document data models and provide data design ideas
Communicate and present technical information with non-technical team members and stakeholders
Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation.
