Responsibilities
Develop, design, and maintain server-side applications using Python.
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale systems and APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.
Set and maintain coding and development standards, ensuring high-quality code.
Implement and maintain automated testing processes to ensure code quality and performance.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team.
Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to improve our products and processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development, with a focus on server-side development.
Proven experience working on enterprise-scale systems and providing APIs in a commercial environment.
Strong knowledge of agile development methodologies and best practices.
Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Pytest, unittest, or similar.
Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation. Preferably with knowledge of FAST API.
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Solid understanding of SQL, preferably with Oracle. Exposure to SQLAlchemy or other ORM framework.
Solid understanding or Kubernetes from an application development/deployment perspective.
Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GIT/Bitbucket & Jenkins
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
