Responsibilities
Responsible for performing daily and monthly accounting tasks including:
o Using technology (including but not limited to PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau),
import/capture transactional activity (e.g. from bank statements)
o preparing month-end workbooks and related journal entries, including accruals, revenue
recognition, etc.
o preparing bank reconciliations
o preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (e.g. IFRS)
o performing other corporate accounting cycle functions as needed
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience working with an accounting team
- Previous experience working in a professional services firm would be an asset
- Experience in using technology to streamline accounting and finance function processes is desirable
- CPA designation or desire to pursue a designation an asset
Technical Skills
● Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills with the ability to use intermediate to advanced formulas
to analyze and summarize data
● Proficiency with the full set of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite is an asset
● Experience with Alteryx, Power BI or other data manipulation software is an asset
