    Are you a marketing and communications professional with experience in event coordination? Have you been responsible for event strategy, planning, design and production? Are you looking for a new opportunity to further develop your skills in the marketing field? If so, look no further, as we are currently looking for an Acquisition Marketing Specialist to support our client, a leading telecommunications firm. In this role you will work full time hours on a 12 month assignment, working a hybrid schedule in support of their Mississauga, ON office.

    Responsibilities
    The successful candidate will work in a dynamic, and challenging environment. This individual will be accountable for a executing events flawlessly, planning quarterly roadmaps, ensuring marketing materials and offers for optimal sales, ensuring sales staff are supported with training material and building strategic partnerships that compliment the portfolio.

    Responsibilities:
    • Quarterback partnerships and events
    • Event strategy, planning, design and production
    • Managing all project delivery elements within budgeted time and resource.
    • Organizing and managing all event details, such as equipment, promotional materials, marketing offers, rep training material, etc.
    • Proactively handle issues and troubleshoot emerging problems prior to, and on the day of the event
    • Liaise with stakeholders to identify their needs and ensure the event is executed to their expectations, while also working with channels to ensure resources are allocated
    • Compile event feedback, post mortem reporting and insights for future improvement
    • Propose ideas and strategies to improve event quality
    • Proactively manage, plan and coordinate a quarterly events calendar

    Qualifications

    • Preferred experience in event planning
    • Disciplined in managing budgets
    • Great negotiation skills
    • Ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders with conflicting priorities or interests
    • Excellent time management and communication skills
    • Ability to be creative with limited resources
    • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
    • Solid Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, and an ability to tell actionable stories
    • Expert in relationship management and collaboration
    • Demonstrated knowledge of retail or event marketing.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Results-oriented and pro-active
    • Customer-focused, team player, innovative and self-motivated
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Ability to multi-task and quickly adjust to changing priorities, with proven organizational and project management skills
