This role will assume responsibility for the overall management of the facility's automation systems. This includes managing technicians on site (internal or external), to act as main point of contact in the escalation process and as contact person for the client on all matters related to automation. Secure the delivery, on a daily basis, of the functionality of logistics automation systems.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for the mechanical performance and troubleshooting of facility automated equipment.
• Coordinate all maintenance activities as well as scheduled repairs and reactive repairs of automated equipment.
• Train and develop the team in health and safety and ensure that they are up to date in their training.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings.
• Write detailed reports based on the work done on site.
• Foster and develop continuous improvement through the team and documentation.
• Assume responsibility for installation of facility-specific equipment and training in the proper use of equipment.
• Build strong relationships with the facility management team.
Qualifications
•Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Technician or other related field or equivalent experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems without a degree.
• Bilingual in English and French
•At least 3 years of experience working in an automated warehouse environment.
•Ability to become a subject matter expert in regard to debug and troubleshooting of the specified equipment.
• High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office package, especially Excel
•Must be capable of generating thorough and comprehensive service reports with computer skills including MS Office.
•Must be able to read and utilize mechanical & electrical schematics to assist in troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and electronic components.
•Possess strong analytical skills.
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize workloads and meet aggressive deadlines.
•Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
•Ability to interact courteously and professionally managers, subcontractors, and other communication as assigned.
•Action-oriented with the ability to deliver results.
•Ability to drive and implement change
•Must be a strong team player.
•Detail oriented
