This role reports to the Billing & Credit Supervisor and is responsible for the handling of the accounts receivables provided to them and will offer support to the Billing & Credit Supervisor regarding credit and collections issues. The employee holding this position will collaborate on report analyses and will provide support to the team as needed.

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm (1hr for lunch) or 8:00am to 4:30 pm (30 minutes for lunch)
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Handle collections calls and negotiate payment arrangements with customers.
• Handle bankruptcies /consumer proposals & complete proof of claims, and any other necessary official documents.
• Analyze current procedures and create plans and recommendations to Credit Supervisor.
• Daily support to the Credit Team as needed.
• Resolve problematic situations and manage escalated complaints adequately.
• Analyze and complete credit granting applications.
• Analyses potential fraud cases and perform efficient skip tracing to locate possible fraudulent customers.
• Monitor and inform the Billing & Credit Supervisor of High risks and serious delinquency accounts.
• Establish/maintain a healthy customer service that favorize the respect with our terms and accounts with financial problems.
• Report any internally or externally irregularities that affects account receivables.
• Code and verify invoices related to the Credit Department for approval.
• Create requests for refund cheques to customers.
• Apply policies and procedures and best practices for collection of all outstanding accounts.
• All other administrative tasks related to credit and collections.
Qualifications
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Related college degree, in finance or business administration is preferred
• 5+ years of direct related experience OR equivalent combination of formal education, certification, and experience may be considered.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer technologies skills.
• Demonstrated influential and convincing skills.
• Capability to negotiate with a firm approach and maintain a high degree of professionalism
• Strong software knowledge such as MS Office, in particular Excel, Word.
• Familiar with the rules and regulations regarding Collecting agents act, the Privacy act respecting access to documents and protection of personal information’s.
