Responsibilities
As a Bilingual Junior Buyer, your duties will include but not be limited to:
•Evaluating the prices and services offered by the various suppliers in order to choose the best ones.
•Negotiating materials, equipment and supplies from vendors.
•Tracking orders and delivery with suppliers and communicates order information to relevant customers.
•Maintaining accurate purchasing, pricing and costing data of applicable business systems.
•Entering orders in accordance with purchasing procedures and customer contract regulations.
•Reviewing daily error notices on placed orders and takes appropriate action.
•Coordinating product replacement and removals.
•Examining all types of problems. .
•Complying with standard policies, procedures, internal checks and controls and quality control processes.
Qualifications
•Bilingual required (English and French)
•Experience in the field of purchasing 2 years (or studies in the field an asset)
•Purchasing in supply chain – 2 years’ experience
•Shopping style: MRO
•GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF EXCEL (V-Look Up /Pivot Table etc…)
•ABLE TO READ ENGINEERING DRAWINGS
•BILINGUAL
•ABLE to handle PRESSURE
•ABLE to handle VOLUME
•Knowledge of purchasing and inventory concepts, practices and procedures in MRO purchasing
•Knowledge of the MRO industry, including suppliers, customers and competitors
•ORGANIZED, METICULOUS, DEDICATED TO DETAILS
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Excellent negotiation skills
•Strong problem-solving abilities
•Possess strong analytical skills
•Good computer skills, including purchasing and inventory systems, programs and reports
•Ability to exercise good judgment
•Resourceful and capable of initiative
