Responsibilities
Building a new custom software application
Moving from an old software system to a new one that has different functionality (move customer base from old legacy billing software to new one with more features)
Customizing new business functionality into a software system
Implementing a COTS system with customization (not just the vanilla version) to meet business needs.
Qualifications
Extensive independent drive to move a project forward
Able to work independently and reach out to new teams or individuals without hesitation
Relationship management is embedded in our culture and key to moving work forward
Passionate personality that can adjust their communication style all the way from a VP to an individual contributor
Communication style including documented presentation of information at different levels of detail, able to cater to all levels of the org structure
Team player
You may need to wear multiple hats, potentially outside of the traditional role mandate of a BA
Different projects may require playing a different role (ie, lead role vs team member), given where in the organization that project is initiated from
Working with constantly altering templates and tools is a must.
Able to take direction amidst a maturing BA Centre of Excellence, using the principle business analyst as a mentor.
