This position is working a hybrid remote.Pay rate: $30.00/hourRotational shifts: Monday to Friday 37.5hrs/weekAdvantages●Gain experience working for a leading and globally recognized organization●Earn a competitive rate within the industry●Work full time hours on a 12 month assignment with potential for extension●Open to hybrid remote work●Onsite training●Start date is ASAPResponsibilitiesAs an Operations Officer, your duties will include but not be limited to:●Being responsible for managing of 3000 accounts across various books of record, reconciliation support (quality review, monthly certification), system administration for TLM and audit support and supporting various client activities (cash sweep client/CIBC Mellon, CIBC custody account opening for fund launches, custody account administration, Fargo stay back functions, MF Trust administration support).●Processing various transactions accurately, on time and in line with established guidelines/procedures while adhering to formal or informal Service Level Agreement(s) (SLAs)●Referring or escalating or operational issues where necessary to ensure a high level of service is maintained●Providing optimal customer and partner service, including guidance and advice, while adhering to customer service standards●Supporting partners via inbound calls by answering questions performing adjustments within authority levels●Maintaining working relationships with customers, partners and vendors including responding to questions and/or concerns in an effective and timely manner●Assisting in driving continuous improvement of the current state reconciliations investigation model service level agreements (SLA)●Analyzing current state reconciliation controls process and perform root cause analysis for any breaks and gaps in process●Prioritizing and managing own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity●Exercising discretion in managing correspondence, information, and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate until it is resolved●Being knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep up to date with emerging trends for own functional area●Protecting the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions/activities as necessary●Conducting internal and external research projects; support the development / delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audience●Conducting reporting and/or meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs / policies / practices●Monitoring service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exist●Keeping current on emerging trends / developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools, and techniques●Contributing to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the completion and performance of work activities to meet department deadlines; provide training, coaching and/or guidance as appropriate.●Acting as a brand champion for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externallyQualifications●Advanced Excel Skills (Macro, pivot tables to present data and for automation) (may be assessed in interview/ suppliers please confirm that these contractors have the ADVANCED skills)●Technical Skills – Tableau (basic knowledge and is motivated to teach themselves more about this program)●Analytical Skills, able to analyze data and present trends in dashboard●Excellent Communication Skills, able to articulate issues and requirements in a written and verbal format to peers, partners and management●Able to create dashboards (assets in tableau and excel)●Detail oriented as accuracy is a must●Innovative thinker to find improvements●Multi-Tasking and able to manage time to meet SLA●Self starter, motivated and able to work independentlyNice to Haves:●Industry knowledge (Mutual fund, securities, GIC's, IIROC, IFIC)●System knowledge (CPA, IBM, FundServ, TLM Smartstream)●VBA is a strong asset●Alteryx is a strong assetSummaryInterested in the Operations Officer role in Toronto?
