We are currently looking for individuals to join our client, one of Canada's largest insurance and financial services companies, as a Facilities Operator.
This role is open to candidates in Markham and downtown Toronto.
Mostly based in Markham, but must be able to travel to the Toronto office (may also support their Oakville office as well).

Responsibilities
As a Facilities Operator, your responsibilities will be:
•Taking a proactive approach in identifying areas in need of repair such as systems furniture repairs, carpet repair, light bulb replacement, light plumbing repairs etc
•Supporting the day-to-day operations, general maintenance and repairs for our Markham, Oakville, and Toronto locations.
•Maintaining furniture systems and general repairs at locations in the GTA.
•Responding and action requests through CaFacilities general inbox and FaST
•Coordinating Contractor for BAU repairs and schedule maintenance
•Lifting, moving and carrying equipment, furniture and supplies up to 22 kg (50 lb.) alone, or if heavier, with assistance of co-workers or aids
•Coordinating, and supervising minor projects
•Performing all routine and preventative maintenance work
•Practicing all safety and emergency procedures. Maintaining WHMIS labels and MSDS updates related to caretaking products
Qualifications
•2+ years of Facility Operations experience
•Display a positive attitude with strong customer focus (internal customers, external vendors)
•Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
•Ability to prioritize multiple demands
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•Ability to integrate policy into decision-making
•Working knowledge in Word and Excel, computer
•Post-secondary education (College diploma)
•Reliable vehicle/transportation available
