    We are currently looking for individuals to join our client, one of Canada's largest insurance and financial services companies, as a Finance Analyst.

    This is a hybrid role, currently working in the office 1 day a week.


    Advantages

    - Hours of operation: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    - 6-month contract
    - Pay Rate: $44/hr
    - Training is onsite

    Responsibilities
    As a Finance Analyst, your responsibilities will be:
    •Supporting the Manager/Snr Manager, FBP IT, working with the Canadian IT CIO, promoting the development and successful execution of sustainable value creation and cost saving strategies by.
    •Representing Finance in supporting the local IT Senior Leadership with some Group IT (UK) liaison, assisting in ensuring delivery of first class financial and strategic management services
    •Acting as an ambassador for Finance and great business partnering
    •People Management
    •Maintaining a system of on-going monitoring and controls to ensure that IT meets its financial obligations while
    •Budget management
    •Making accurate financial assumptions in business unit business planning processes
    •Participating effectively in the development of business planning models
    •Assisting management in measuring its performance against strategy and operating plans
    •Performance measurement and management control
    •Understanding key financial and operational drivers of performance; tracks, analyses, and reports management information that is predictive and actionable
    •Driving functional performance planning / budgeting process that is necessary to achieve strategic goals
    •Comparing/benchmarks business operations to enable IT functional optimization
    •Balancing Sheet management, includes reporting and attestations over capitalized Technology Assets


    Qualifications
    •5+ years financial and/or operational management experience
    •Demonstrates understanding of strategic perspective on the IT and EPMO functions
    •Organizational awareness and political sensitivity
    •Excellent relationship builder and communicator with leadership and motivation ability
    •Understanding of financial, strategic and performance management processes
    •Ability to embrace and lead change, be highly adaptable and flexible, decisive and display excellent judgment
    •Act as Change Agent
    •Confidence to challenge and influence business and regional decisions
    •Dynamic with the ability to develop and engage others in a vision and change agenda

    Nice to have:
    •Graduate, and
    •Working towards MBA/CA/CPA certification
