Responsibilities
As a Financial Control Specialist, your duties will include but not be limited to:
●Working on daily journal entries to clear cache and client suspense accounts.
●Working on automated reconciliation of balance accounts in Frontier (eg/ cash / suspense accounts)
●Preparing and processing of journal entries for SAP / Oracle processes (currently executing dual reporting)
●Performing daily monitoring of Insurance suspense accounts in Frontier (automated account
reconciliation software) to ensure timely clearing of transactions as well as ensuring monthly
Account reconciliation reporting standards are met.
●Engaging in a continuous improvement working environment while supporting the control
environment
●Supporting requests to satisfy audit requirements
●Working on other project work as assigned
Qualifications
●Strong communication and organizational skills
●Ability to operate effectively as a team member as well as independently with limited supervision
●Solid problem-solving skills, analytical skills and attention to accuracy and detail
●Ability to handle conflicting priorities and meet stringent deadlines
●Proficient with Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables)
●Adaptable
●Conscientious and accurate
●Comfortable to ask questions when unsure
Nice to have:
●Proficient with SLF financial and associated systems (SAP GL, Oracle GL, Frontier, Tableau,
●SAP Business Warehouse (BW)) and an understanding of policy administration systems for
●Insurance (eg/ EIM, M2, LF and Ingenium)
●University/College education in accounting and/or business subject areas
