Responsibilities
As an Import/Export Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for executing day to day logistics arrangements domestically and internationally, with the focus on inbound/outbound to USA.
Duties include:
- Coordinating inbound shipments and ensuring on time delivery through tracking and expediting
- Acting as interface to logistics service providers such as DHL/Fedex and LTL freight providers
- Managing freight claim process
- Managing Return Material Authorizations (RMA) for suppliers both internal and external
- Working with procurement and project managers to optimize inbound/outbound logistics
- Managing invoice exceptions for both freight billing and Purchase Order related billings
- Providing support in Export Customs and Control related topics
- Planning, managing, and executing indirect material sourcing strategies for assigned centers
- Acting as an expeditor for projects/sales orders with extremely tight timelines and localization of supply
Qualifications
• 3-5 years experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• Bachelor’s or degree in related field or equivalent
• Working knowledge about Logistics processes, with emphasis on international and domestic inbound/outbound transportation
• Knowledge of procurement processes and norms
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient MS Office skills
• Strong team player, with a can-do attitude and problem-resolution focus
Nice to have:
• SCMP or equivalent experience a strong asset
• SAP system knowledge as a user is considered a strong asset
