Responsibilities
As an Institutional Portfolio Analyst, your duties may include but not be limited to:
•Being responsible for the daily cash management, portfolio reconciliation of Institutional Client accounts
•Performing key controls to reduce risk and errors as well as other ad-hoc client account related tasks.
•Processing of pooled fund trade tickets, proposing and implementing money market trade requirements and updating internal records of portfolio activity.
•Reconciling previous day’s cash and holdings position against the custodian records by the required deadlines so that only timing differences exist.
•Maintaining timely and accurate processing of daily auditing files.
•Maintaining timely and accurate processing of ongoing funding notifications in order to achieve a seamless flow between Client, Custodian, Institutional Portfolio Manager and Institutional Portfolio Analyst
•Providing detailed holdings, transactions, and performance and attribution reports to multiple stakeholders.
•Opening administer accounts, closings and changes as well as documenting account specific details and procedures.
•Preparing month-end, quarter-end, and ad-hoc reporting
Qualifications
•University degree or diploma
•Minimum of 1-3 years relevant industry experience
•Excellent written and communication skills along with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word
•Meticulous attention to detail and passion for excellence in quality of work with the willingness to go the extra mile to self-check and ensure accuracy.
•Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills and capable of meeting tight timelines under high pressure situations with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
•Self-starter that is client services and solutions oriented. Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
•Canadian Securities Course or Mutual Funds Investment Course
Nice to have:
•Experience with FMC PCView, Unitrax, Eagle, Electra,and SS&C Recon
