    Our client is looking for an Operations Specialist for a 6 month contract in Vancouver. This is onsite role. High potential for contract extension.
    Pay rate: $30/ Hour
    Hours: Standard Hours, 7.5hrs

    Responsibilities
    As an Operations Specialist, your duties will include but not be limited to:
    •Processing of transactions for Bank and Investments supporting all branches across Canada.
    •Completing complex processing, operational, servicing and/or accounting-related duties in support of the assigned area.
    •Resolving issues, as required, and refer those of a more complex nature to higher levels.
    •Reconciling and balancing accounts, verify accuracy of computation and resolve discrepancies.
    •Ensuring all activities comply with pertinent internal standards and external regulations.
    •Operating various office and/or mechanical equipment including personal computer, copiers, etc… as required, to complete duties in a timely and accurate manner.
    •Maintaining appropriate records of activities and statistics; prepare daily worksheets and reports as necessary.
    •Applying compliance; internal and operational risk controls in accordance with company and/or regulatory standards and policies; report issues and operational loss events.
    •Completing other duties as assigned.
    •Promoting an environment that supports diversity and reflects the company brand.


    Qualifications
    •5 years of banking industry experience and/or previous experience within a financial institution
    •Familiarity with the Rules, Policies and By-Laws of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and/or Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA).
    •Some previous retail banking knowledge would be preferred and must have knowledge of Canadian Registered Products.

    Nice-to-Have skills:
    •Canadian Securities Course or IFIC would be an asset
    •Product knowledge of Mutual Fund settlements processing, Internal & External Transfers, Cash and Entitlements processing,
    •Excellent MS Office, Excel skills
