Responsibilities
Analyze impacts to process and technology solutions to achieve business results and business requirements.
Identify scope changes and functional requirements and complete system analysis at macro level to determine impact to program delivery.
Identify, document and validate current state processes and work with the business and stakeholders to design the desired future state.
Establish and maintain full requirements traceability and work with the business and business architecture to prioritize requirements and scope changes to ensure business needs are met.
Collaborate with technology partners to ensure creation and effective management of system requirements and aligning them with designs, testing plans, artifacts/deliverables to ensure business needs are met.
Ensure project issues and concerns are addressed by clear articulation of system requirements.
Proactively identify and track requirements risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, constraints and anticipate and effectively manage risks related to requirements.
Contribute to Quality Assurance activities by supporting the development of test strategy, test plan & approach and testing of developed solutions, including communication of issues and resolution.
Adhere to Enterprise project governance controls to ensure projects meet all performance, quality and compliance standards and conforms to appropriate disciplines.
Contribute to the development of the project plan and high-level work breakout session (WBS), identify and manage key risks and decisions related to system requirements.
Own and complete relevant work packages and tasks through collaboration with multiple stakeholders to prepare for operational readiness, managing deadlines and adjusting to changing work priorities.
Take ownership and communicate progress on work packages, including requirements management, in a concise and timely manner, escalating issues to project manager, partners and managers where appropriate.
Contribute and participate in capturing project gaps and issues, support gap resolution through Project Change Requests, assess impacts of PCRs on system requirements & delivery estimates, ensure alignment of PCRs to project benefits at all phases.
Support implementation and post-implementation activities as defined in the project plan.
Contribute to the program by creating effective presentations, illustrations and documentation.
Manage and contribute to consolidated Program Knowledge Base by referencing system requirements, capturing system dependencies, delivery plans across systems, vendors and applications and their alignment with program deliverables and timelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. (Masters or other advanced degrees preferred but not mandatory).
5-10 years experience as BSA (inclusive of software development/design experience).
Experience in Wealth Management, Direct Investing and Trading, Capital Markets, Risk and Compliance within Financial Institutions.
Strong background in SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall and Spiral), Quality Assurance/Testing, Program and Project Management, Data Analysis, Business and Systems Analysis.
Advanced knowledge of business and technology solutions delivery practices and standards, including business/system analysis, requirements management, design, development, testing/QA, project management, change management and implementation.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities and timelines.
Knowledge of techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models, capturing system requirements.
Familiarity with design/analysis tools and techniques and work tracking tools and methodologies, e.g. UML / ERD, Visio, SharePoint, Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Office, etc.
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Foundational understanding of programming languages and technologies, e.g. Java, .NET, SQL, Web, mainframe etc.
