Responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Writer, your duties will include but not be limited to:
Establishing best practices for technical writing and process documentation across departments.
Creating clear and concise process documentation.
Developing API documentation for API users, such as reference docs and developer guides including sample code examples.
Analyzing and documenting how systems, processes, procedures currently function and make updates to align with future development.
Completing needs, impact and gap analysis on operational processes and procedures.
Creating process flow diagrams (BPMN, ULM).
Creating sample code for technologies such as Java / Groovy / Python
Qualifications
3+ years of technical writing/ process documentation skills for both a technical and non-technical audience
Deep knowledge of relevant technologies, processes, systems, and capabilities related to supporting a microservice architecture (ex. REST APIs, web services, etc.)
Experience using Git, Markdown and Swagger
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Resilient and ability to navigate changing environment
Knowledge of overall financial services industry
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate both complex business and technical concepts
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical skills
Superb writing skills
