We are currently looking for a Coordinator - National Security to support our client', one of the big 4 accounting firms, in their Toronto office (working remotely (working remotely with the potential need to go on site). In this role you will work full time hours on a 12 month assignment, and earn a competitive pay rate.Reporting to the National Security Senior Manager, this position is responsible for the verification and/or review of anomalous information identified through the background check screening process and documenting the outcome into required firm and vendor databases, as required. The incumbent will quickly and effectively complete escalated requests requiring further investigation, researching and verifying facts provided by candidates to ensure the screening process is completed in a timely manner while adhering to established guidelines and meeting a high caliber of work. Advantages• Gain experience working for a leading and globally recognized firm• Work full time hours on a 12 month assignment• Start Date: July 11, 2022• Earn a competitive pay rate• 37.5 hours/week, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday (7.5 hours per day, 1 hour unpaid lunch)• Work remotelyResponsibilities● Review results of new hire background checks, direct admit partners, and engagement team checks and escalate decisions accordingly to the management team and/or Human Capital.● Adjudicate ambiguous screening results and flags provided by a third-party vendor based on established matrices for risk mitigation.● Initiate, upon request background checks on direct admit partners, and engagement teams.● Communicate with candidates, recruiting, internal and external contacts (making calls/sending emails) to complete verifications.● Execute the verification work using the available tools and remain updated on new services, procedures and applicable laws.● Ensure compliance with the company requirements of privacy and security, as well as meeting client services deadlines.● Input thorough and accurate notes into appropriate databases. Maintain accurate and up to date records of actions taken.● Refer to your management team for guidance and advice on any situations requiring increased oversight and problem resolution.● Provide timely follow-up and follow through on all requests, reports, and escalations.● Track and maintain key operational metrics to measure volume, challenges and overall programeffectiveness.● Work effectively with associates outside of your immediate team and to continuously improve processes, as required. Help to suggest and implement different and effective ways of adjudicating screening results.● Liaise with external vendors to respond to ongoing queries and issue resolution● Assist with other firm and business projects, initiatives or general administrative duties. Prioritize work to meet client deadlines.● Provide support for and assist with adoption of changes to firm technology, procedures andpolicy.● Cross training in other functions outside of immediate scope of responsibility may be required.● Prepare invoices and billing information for the National Security Managers/team as needed - ensuring accuracy and prompt submissionQualificationsWork Experience● Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in background check screening or applicable transferable skills. The equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.● Ability to obtain a Reliability Security clearance.● Experience working in a professional environment working within a team and the general publicTechnical Skills● Intermediate working knowledge of Google Applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).● Confidence in ability to work in a highly technical and ever changing work environment.
