Responsibilities
The Senior Privacy Consultant will report regularly on the status of deliverables and will promptly communicate risks and issues, both potential and those requiring escalation, to the Program Manager, Public Health Information Solutions (PHIS), and the Director of Digital Health Programs.
HIPP will ensure that this role has access to the government network and required technologies to complete project deliverables.
Required internal subject matter experts will be made available to the project and will have the capacity to participate in the project and provide timely feedback
Submitting all appropriate deliverables in Microsoft Office-compatible electronic format • Providing a secure laptop with the appropriate applications licensed and installed to support their project activities.
All work products will be the property of the Department of Health and Wellness.
All project deliverables are to be presented to the PHIS Program Manager, Executive Sponsors, and the Senior Advisor - DHW Health Privacy and Records Management for review, approval, and acceptance.
Qualifications
A minimum seven (7) years of experience in privacy and access related roles that included the development of privacy impact assessments.
A minimum three (3) years’ experience in Nova Scotia’s healthcare environment in roles requiring strong knowledge of applicable legislation, regulation, and policy.
Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, evaluation, and documentation of options and recommended approach.
Experience providing best practice privacy guidance and support to project teams.
Demonstrated experience working on projects in areas of IT (Information Technology) transformation where there are multiple stakeholder groups with varying data interests and responsibilities.
Experience working with immunization programs in a Nova Scotia context is considered an asset.
