We are currently recruiting for a Packer for a minimum two-month contract with a large distributor in Perth, Ontario. As a Packer, your shifts will rotate between days and nights every two weeks. You must have a vehicle as the location is not bus accessible. If you have experience as packer, warehouse worker or assembly line worker, we want to hear from you!!

The Packer's duties and responsibilities will be:
• Ensure proper cases are being used for the proper item.
• Check codes on all units or bottles.
• Watch lines for jams or bad products and shut the equipment off, and inform Operator.
• Sticker cases when lines are down.
• Assist with color changes.
• Have knowledge of product: specifications and general quality requirements.

• Ensure the packaging area kept as orderly as possible.
• Scrape, sweep and mop the floor in the working area.
• Assist in general clean up when needed.

• Liaison with other Line workers and general production staff to ensure that Safety and Quality standards are maintained.
• Knowledge of products – what it would look like and general quality requirements.
• Knowledge of other line activities at any given time and general assistance needed to ensure the continuous flow of production.

• Ensure that a safe and harmonious workplace is maintained at all times.
• Ensure all safety practices and guidelines are followed.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of all health and safety hazards and regulations.
• Assist/advise other staff as needed to ensure the safety and harmony of the department are maintained.
• Advise appropriate officials of any hazard or potential hazard immediately.

-14-15.75 an hour (depending on if you work night or weekends)
