Randstad Staffing, Canada's #1 Integrated Staffing firm is actively recruiting for Part-time Banquet Servers to work for one of our clients in Halifax, Nova Scotia. These are casual positions and will be on an event by event basis with many hours to be expected starting ASAP. These positions require the successful candidates to perform the following duties:

• Setting meal and meeting room functions as per specifications set out on the event orders
• Lifting of trays, which could weigh up to 40 pounds (18kg) carried on the shoulders to serving areas in small and large function rooms. Extended periods on feet and a fast-paced environment can be expected
• Serving food and beverage and maintaining tables while meals and meetings are taking place
• Delivery of coffee and other food requirements to meeting rooms
• Ensuring that all guests’ service needs are addressed in a friendly, timely and professional manner
• Dismantling of meeting rooms and possible resetting of tables, chairs, and dishes for the next function
• Other duties could include: general clean up and tidying of catering areas in the back of house (ex: include putting away linen, maintaining catering storage areas, preparing equipment & polishing cutlery)

• Dress code in effect during regular and training shifts (long sleeve black, button up, dress shirt. Plain. black dress pants. Black socks, belt (if needed) and all black comfortable shoes. Sneakers are ok, as long as they are all black).
• Hours of operation vary, and staff will be required to work early morning, late night, weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of banquet protocol and various services considered an asset

**All part-time banquet servers must complete one hour of unpaid orientation before going on site**
Training sessions will be held end of next week
