Responsibilities
-Source and purchase parts needed for forklift repairs and maintenance
-Manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of required parts
-Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing
-Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of parts
-Work with the service department to ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner for customer repairs
-Monitor market trends and new products to ensure competitiveness
-Maintain accurate records of all purchases, inventory levels and supplier performance
-Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective parts management
Qualifications
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in the forklift industry
-Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
-Highly organized with strong attention to detail
-Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
-Knowledge of forklift parts and terminology preferred
-Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
