Our client located in Burlington is looking for a payroll administrator to add to their team - with over 5,000 employees in 14 years of business the company is still growing rapidly!


• As part of the centralized payroll team, the Payroll Administrator will be required to process payroll
• As the primary liaison, ensure all payroll and benefit related documents are completed with the utmost attention to detail & accuracy. Ensure all payroll related documents are distributed proactively and in a timely manner.
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate records including, but not limited to, vacation tracker, employee purchases, benefit/pension eligibility spreadsheet, and timekeeper accruals.
• Accountable for the input of all new hires into the payroll and timekeeper system. Ensure that information is entered in a timely manner.
• Responsible for tracking and updating wage progression as per the collective bargaining agreement.
• Accountable for the daily review, maintenance and sign off of accurate timekeeper information. Investigate all timecard related queries from Supervisors/employees in a timely and professional manner.
• Accountable for the preparation, review and distribution of operational reports including, but not limited to, headcount, attendance, seniority list, hours worked, probation and other cost or crew related reports.
• Prepare month end payments/reports for external stakeholders. Provide clerical support to Finance Department. Assist with projects assigned by the Payroll Manager.

Qualifications
• Post-secondary degree or equivalent in Payroll/Finance partnered with a minimum 2+ Years of payroll experience in a unionized environment
• Prior experience with any ADP Pay software and an understanding of Collective Agreements are a must.
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification is a huge asset
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Demonstrated analytical and decision making skills, sound judgement, and the ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks. Ability to manage sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• Ability to work independently.
