job description

We’re looking for energetic Payroll candidates that want to do something new. Ideally, you have 3-5 years of foundational payroll experience, and you’re now looking for more. Instead of a standstill processing job, you want to be a part of a team and a product that is new, agile, and ever changing to adapt to client’s specific needs. You have strong customer service and communication skills, and you want to be a partner, not a processor. Working for a start-up excites you, and you want your work to be meaningful and drive results.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, remote during Covid-19, with flexibility in work location and hours once the team returns. Preference will be given to candidates that can start in the month of July.

•Growing HR & Tech company located in the heart of Downtown Toronto, with flexibility in working hours and location
•Temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate
•Extensive benefits and perks package
•Be part of providing brand new solutions to a rapidly growing client base
•Opportunity to be a part of an agile and growing organization, working directly with developing and enhancing their software and solutions

The ideal candidate will have the following:

•3+ years of Canadian payroll experience, ideally with multiple cloud-based platforms
•Customer service skills or experience, with very strong written and verbal English communication skills being a MUST
•Comfortable communicating with stakeholders, clients and providers
•Agile, flexible, creative, problem-solving mindset
•Previous start-up or tech software experience is an asset

If you’re looking for more out of your payroll career, we want to hear from you! All interested applicants are encouraged to apply to this post directly, or email your resume to

Please note only qualified candidates will be contacted for next steps.
