Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll and preparing monthly and annual payroll reports
Conducting year-end adjustments and remitting statutory deductions
Administering our group benefits and pension programs, enrolling employees, and maintaining the employee database
Tracking our short-term and long-term disability programs and preparing reports for analysis
Managing and updating the database to ensure that all employee data is secure and accurate
Providing prompt and professional communication with employees regarding any HR, payroll, or benefits inquiries
Processing new hires/terminations and ROEs in a timely and accurate manner
Entering, balancing, and batching timesheets
Reporting and balancing EHT, RRSPs, and other deductions
Managing payroll for 1500 employees across multiple provinces
Handling over 20 collective agreements
Conducting monthly and year-end payroll reconciliations
Resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in payroll administration, with experience in multi-provincial payroll being an asset
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, regulations, and requirements, as well as year-end and statutory payroll procedures
Experience using payroll software, such as JDE and intermediate skills in Excel
Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing high-quality customer service to employees

Location: 20 minutes west/north of Toronto
Compensation: 70,000 - 85,0000 per year depending on experience
