Awarded Employer of the Year, travel and tourism company based downtown Vancouver is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join their team.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Coordinator prepares, processes and maintains full cycle payroll and benefits. Ensures all employees are paid accurately and on time, responds to inquiries, prepares reports and assists with other finance functions.

You will be responsible for:

- Responsible for processing payroll for all employee groups (300 year-round & 750 seasonal employees in high season), in accordance with the payroll schedules, government regulations, Corporate policies and procedures, etc.
- Ensuring time and attendance are complete, pre-checks are done and payroll is processed on-time.
- Ensuring all appropriate earnings, deductions and remittances are processed and remitted accurately and on-time and prepared and submitted i.e. CRA, garnishments, RRSP, etc
- Issue accurate and on-time Records of Employment (ROE) as legislated. Respond to queries from Service Canada.
- Calculated and issue, manager approved, off-cycle payments as required.
- Respond to payroll queries from employees, management, and external parties (ex: WCB, Service Canada, Employment Insurance).
- Complete journal entries and account reconciliations accurately and on-time. Ensuring all earnings, benefits and deductions are allocated to the appropriated account codes.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in handling full cycle payroll for 400 employees
- Demonstrated knowledge of payroll legislation and employment laws required
