Our Client in Burnaby is looking for a Senior Payroll Manager to join their great organization. If you have been in the payroll department for 10+ years, doing full cycle Payroll, and experienced in doing the payroll for unionized and non-unionized employees along with salaried, and hourly employees.

Full cycle Payroll
Responsible for all payroll inputs and calculations
Payroll cash flow forecasting support to Director of Finance
Develops, implements, and manages payroll change processes, working with the HR department
Manages integration and import of payroll service provider systems to ERP
Cross border payroll compliance for US citizens working in Canada, and/or other countries
Payroll analysis and compliance for the relocation of employees between Canada and US/UK
Vacation balance tracking and reconciliation to timesheets
Analysis and implementation of potential taxable benefits for payroll implications
Issuance of T4s, T4As, W2, 1099, and other requirements in new jurisdictions
WCB claims
BC EHT accruals and claims
Stock option administration and reporting including maintenance of records in Shareworks and spreadsheets, option certificates, cancellations, expiry, and changes
Monthly GL entries for payroll accruals and inter-department and project charges
Reconciliation of payroll to GL accounts
Timesheet process management, working with administration and HR teams
Payroll change analysis and reporting
Benefit-cost analysis support to HR and accounting
Carries out other projects and duties as required
Process Canadian (ADP Workforcenow), US (TriNet) payrolls
Coordinate UK payroll in future with service providers

-Designated is mandatory (CPM, PCP) with 10+ years of experience in Payroll
-Experience or exposure to cross border payroll.
-Knowledge/experience using ADP workforce now.
-General accounting knowledge mainly related to AP and GL tracking of payroll relation to payroll data.
-Experience in assessing, documenting, and implementing effective internal controls in relation to payroll processes.
-Must be able to roll up his/her sleeves and get dirty.
-Advanced Excel skills.
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas both orally and in writing to all levels of employees and to senior management.
-Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Adaptable to a fast-changing and dynamic environment.
