As the Payroll Manager for this fast-growing, publicly-traded company you will be expected to perform the following:

* Lead and motivate a team of 4
* Work closely with all Senior Management to identify risks and mitigate expense as it relates to changes in payroll legislation
* Manage payroll of approx 1000 employees, largely hourly, across Canada and into the USA understanding this number will reach 4000+ employees in the next few years
* Be very comfortable at handling many requests, inquiries and last minute changes from the field
* Have the ability to influence, be agile, responsive and create and implement new processes
* Provide recommendations to Senior Leadership

* 5-10 years progressive experience in payroll
* Proven leadership (management experience)
* Ability to build trusting relationships and act with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
* Must have experience with large hourly payrolls 1000+ employees
* Must have strong analytical and technical aptitude
* Must have solid understanding of Canadian payroll legislation
* USA payroll experience a huge asset
* Must have experience rolling out a new payroll system
* Must thrive in high complexity, high growth, high demand environments
