If you answered YES, we have a great opportunity for you! We are seeking a Payroll Specialist for one of our clients, a logistics company in south Kitchener, ON. The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Logistics industry experience is preferred. PCP designation or working towards is considered an asset. Knowledge of AS400, UKG or Ceridian is a huge asset.
*Please note the location is not transit accessible and candidates would need their own vehicle to reach the site daily.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for administering and delivering company payroll which includes calculations of pays, accounting for all employees, monitoring authorized extra pay, printing, and distributing deposit slips
- Set up new employees into payroll system, modify and maintain employee records
- Responsible for the accurate bi-weekly processing of pays according to Federal payroll legislation
- Maintain and monitor any government reporting to be done on biweekly, monthly, and yearly basis
- Responsible to recognize differences with Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec deductions
- Process terminations along with completing the Record of Employment in timely fashion
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ payroll experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing principles, applicable payroll legislation, benefits programs, etc.
- PCP designation or working towards is considered an asset
- Knowledge of UKG or Ceridian is a huge asset
- Experience with MS Office Suite required
- Experience with AS400 and HCM’s is an asset
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple deadlines
- Own transportation is a must
