Responsibilities
In this Payroll Supervisor position you will be responsible for the following:
•Lead the system implementation of SAP.
•Process full-cycle Canadian payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
•Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and territorial regulations related to Canadian payroll, taxation, and labour standards.
•Manage employee data accurately within the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or benefits, adhering to Canadian privacy laws.
•Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly, ensuring accurate calculation of statutory deductions such as CPP, EI, and income tax.
•Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant stakeholders, including management and government agencies, as required by Canadian regulations.
•Administer Canadian employee benefits, including pension plans, RRSPs, and other retirement savings vehicles, ensuring accurate deductions and contributions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
•Stay updated on changes in Canadian payroll laws and regulations at the federal and provincial levels and implement necessary updates to ensure compliance.
•Assist with year-end Canadian payroll processes, including T4 preparation and reporting.
•Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless Canadian payroll operations and provide support for audits and regulatory inquiries.
•Provide excellent customer service to Canadian employees regarding payroll inquiries and concerns, including assisting with understanding pay statements and tax forms.
Qualifications
In this Payroll Supervisor position we are looking for:
•PCP or PLP designation is a strong asset.
•Minimum 3 years of experience processing payroll for Canadian employees is required.
•Experience processing payroll through SAP is required
•Experience with system implementation is required.
•Must be able to commute to the office in Burlington and eventually Brampton after.
