Come and be part of a team of machine operators in a large manufacturing company in Ingersoll, Ontario. You will be responsible for setting up and running machinery for flat-rolled steel. Some hand and power tool and drill press experience will be an asset to assembling and finishing steel when required.
Job Title: Set Up Operator - Flat-rolled steel
Location: Ingersoll, Ontario
Shift: Bi-weekly rotations of days and afternoons
Hours: 6 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 10 pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay rate: $18.89 hourly to start, at 3 months there will be a pay increase to $20.91 hourly and at 1 year an increase to $25.27 hourly

Responsibilities
Be a reliable team member who works at all times focusing on Safety and Accuracy while being productive.
1. Set up machine according to production schedule
2. Maintain correct locations for tooling
3. Maintain tooling with great care
4. Clean tooling before installing on arbor
5. Ensure the knives are of the highest quality
6. Inspect set up for accuracy
7. Maintain and improve all daily procedures
8. Increase safety and productivity at highest level of quality
9. Maintain and improve a high level of health and safety
10. Build set up according to ASKO
11. Ensure correctness of order from start to finish
12. Troubleshooting of slitting problems
13. Assist operators with loading and unloading of material
14. Build separators as required
15. Assist packager
16. Maintain a clean work area
17. Other duties as assigned by plant supervisor/management
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
Someone with machine operating experience
High School diploma or greater
1-2 year experience in manufacturing
Forklift and crane experience asset
Basic mechanical knowledge of machines is an asset
