Responsibilities
Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Edmonton, AB
- Collaborating with all pharmacy team members to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.
- Completing daily tasks following workplace policies and procedures.
- Consulting with pharmacy management on unresolved issues.
- Providing exceptional customer care to the pharmacy patients and communicates with the resident care team, maintaining professionalism and following corporate policies.
- Maintains accurate, organized, and complete resident health records.
- Conducting medication regimen/profile reviews and documents recommendations.
- Following provincial and federal laws and corporate policies and procedures.
- Assisting in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory.
- Participating in training and support for pharmacy team members and engages in continuing education.
- Preparing the compounding medications as needed and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Edmonton, AB
- Licensed Pharmacist in AB and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
- One year's experience in a high-volume non-retail pharmacy setting (LTC, central fill, online pharmacy, specialty pharmacy) is preferred but not required
- Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills
- Excellent understanding of process and the ability to collaborate effectively
